---------------------Metro--------------------------

Phase One of Lines one and four of the Shenzen metro opened for business on December 28, 2004. It links Hong Kong's KCR at Huanggang "checkpoint" station via a pedestrian crossing over the Shenzhen River. Currently, the two lines are comprised of 20 stations and 22 km. The fares start at 2 RMB and go up to 5 RMB. For regular customers it makes sense to buy a chargeable card. Trains on line 1 are leaving approximatley every 6 minutes, in peak hours every 3 minutes.
